Teen Dham Yatra

Kedarnath Temple : Kedarnath Temple, probably the most sacred Hindu shrine located in the great Himalayas, is believed to be constructed by Sankaracharya. The temple is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the devout Hindus.

Badrinath Temple : Badrinath is the most sacred Dham of India. This Dham was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The deity of Badrinath Temple is Lord Vishnu. It is built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of gilt bull and spire. The temple is divided into three parts - The Garbh Griha in which the idol of Lord Badrinath is seated in the inner part of this place and canopy covered with gold sheet. Second part is known as Darshan Mandap in which puja ceremonies are performed.

Gangotri Temple : Gangotri is a 275km drive from Haridwar. Gangotri is also an important Dham in the Char Dham Yatra. Gangotri is the starting point of the river Ganga. There is a temple of Goddess Ganga which is worshipped by pilgrims. According to Hindu Mythology, Gangotri is the place from where Ganga came down to earth. The origin of Ganga is located at Gaumukh which is around 20 km from Gangotri. Gangotri is accessible by road and the vehicles go up to Gangotri.
